How Did We Start
This foundation began with our son and a simple wish that he could play, move, and belong in a space that truly understood him. As parents, we quickly realized how few opportunities existed for children with autism to participate in sports without pressure, expectations, or judgment.
What started as a deeply personal journey has grown into a greater mission: to support children with autism and their families by creating welcoming, flexible sports and community experiences rooted in inclusion, respect, and love.
Our son, Zachary Jr., also known as ZJ, is the inspiration behind INSPIRE's mission and vision. Every day, he continues to show us new strengths, new perspectives, and new reasons to keep building spaces where children like him can thrive.
ZJ has a twin brother, Zion, and a younger sister, Zara, who are both neurotypical and provide him with a level of love and support that cannot be found anywhere else. Watching the three of them grow, learn, and play together brings immeasurable joy to our hearts.
Our hope is to encourage and inspire other families on this journey. Most importantly, we hope every parent feels empowered to embrace their child’s unique differences in every room they enter.
Keep your head high, keep your love strong, and know that you are not alone.
Blessings to you and your family.
Our Mission & Vision
At Inspire Sports Academy, we believe growth starts at home.
Our mission is to inspire families to stay active with their children and expose them to sports, movement, and everyday activities that help build confidence, strength, coordination, awareness, communication, and joy.
We understand that many families are searching for programs, support, and opportunities for their child. While we hope to someday build a large community that hosts inclusive sporting events, games, camps, and athletic experiences for children with autism and disabilities, we also believe in something important:
You do not have to wait to begin.
A backyard, local park, playground, basketball hoop, soccer ball, scooter, or swimming class can become the beginning of your child’s athletic journey.
Some of the most meaningful growth happens through consistency, repetition, encouragement, patience, and love from the people closest to them.
Your autism sports journey starts with you, the parent.
Our family currently focuses on simple daily activities that help encourage movement, confidence, balance, awareness, and fun.
